A directory of Discord servers for Cal Poly Pomona students — built by a CPP student, for CPP students.
Finding the right Discord server for your class, club, or housing situation at CPP used to mean digging through random Reddit posts or asking around. BroncoBoard fixes that — it's a searchable, curated directory scoped entirely to CPP.
Servers are submitted by the community and reviewed before they go live. You can browse by type (community or class), search by name or tag, and join any listed server after a one-time CPP email verification.
Is this official? Is BroncoBoard affiliated with Cal Poly Pomona?
No. BroncoBoard is a student-built side project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Cal Poly Pomona. It's just a tool made by a CPP student to help other CPP students find communities.
How do I sign in?
Sign-in uses your Google account (Gmail). There's no separate password — just click "Sign in with Google" and you're in.
Do I need a CPP email to use BroncoBoard?
You need a Google account to sign in and browse. To actually join a server, you also need to verify a @cpp.edu email address — a one-time code is sent to your CPP inbox to confirm you're a current student. Browsing and submitting servers does not require CPP verification.
How do servers get listed?
Anyone with a Google account can submit a server using a Discord invite link. Submissions are reviewed manually before going public — no server appears in the directory without approval. This keeps the listing relevant and spam-free.
What data do you collect about my server?
Only publicly available information from Discord's API: the server name, icon, description, and approximate member count. No member lists, message content, or private information is ever accessed.
Can I edit a server I submitted?
Yes — from your profile page, click the edit icon next to any of your servers. You can update the description, tags, category, and invite link. Changing the invite link sends the listing back through admin review before going live again.
Can I remove a server I submitted?
Yes — you can delete any server you submitted (pending, rejected, or approved) directly from your profile page. No need to contact anyone.
Can I hand off ownership of my listing to someone else?
Yes. From the edit page for your server, there's a Transfer Ownership section at the bottom. Enter the new owner's BroncoBoard email and confirm. They get full edit and delete access immediately. Only an admin can reverse a transfer, so double-check before confirming.
Can I get a server removed that I didn't submit?
Yes. If you're the Discord server owner and want your server removed, email us at the address below and we'll take it down promptly.
How does BroncoBoard prevent bots and scammers from joining servers?
Several layers work together:
Will listing my server bring in spam or trolls?
BroncoBoard requires a verified CPP email to join — so only verified Cal Poly Pomona students can use the platform to access your server. That said, once a verified student receives the invite link, they could technically share it outside the platform. For the strongest protection, use a limited-use or regularly-rotated invite link when submitting, and keep Discord's own moderation settings (verification level, member screening, etc.) as your additional line of defense.
What data do you collect about users?
Sign-in is via Google OAuth. We store your Google account's display name, email, and profile photo. We also record which servers you join or leave on the platform. You can edit your profile and control what's publicly visible from your profile page.
How do I report a problem with a listing?
Every server page has a report button, visible when you're signed in. You can flag things like broken invite links, inactive servers, incorrect info, or inappropriate content. You can submit one report per server, and it goes directly to the admin queue.
